     The team of Homer and Julia Griffin and Homer D. Griffin has developed, built, leased, and sold commercial property in San Angelo and throughout Texas for over 45 years.

Homer D. Griffin : My First Listing As Broker

     I had just completed requirements to receive my broker's license when I was asked to list and sell eight acres twenty miles east of San Angelo. I had little experience. It was a difficult market for land, especially dry land. Previously I worked on construction of about thirty-five commercial buildings and renovation of about thirty. I studied theology before entering real estate. I believe God is in control. As I was returning from listing the property, my pickup was low on gas, so I stopped to fill it. While pumping gas, an El Camino drove up and parked in the middle of the lot. A man I had never seen, wearing a straw hat, got out, walked directly to me, and said, "My boss wants to buy five to ten acres of land in the country. Do you know anyone who has some land for sale?" Upon regaining consciousness, I showed the property and wrote a contract for the full amount. We closed in a couple of weeks. It was at that time I realized this is where I am supposed to be.
